Overstolz was a cigarette brand of the former Cologne cigarette company Haus Neuerburg .

history

The brand was named after the old Cologne patrician family, the Overstolz , and has been protected since 1917. In the 1960s, the German actor Heinz Engelmann (including Stahlnetz ) was the advertising face of the cigarette brand for which he did newspaper and television advertising.

In 1959 the company was sold to the RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company (Camel), which continued to keep the brand in its range. Together with other brands, Overstolz was discontinued in 2015, but continued to be sold until 2017 with changed packaging, on which there was a reference to the transition to Camel and its logo.
