Gustav Trost

Gustav Trost (born February 26, 1892 in Gevelsberg ; † October 20, 1969 ) was a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending school, he completed a commercial apprenticeship and worked as a businessman. From 1918 he was a member of the Free Trade Union and the SPD and exercised trade union and political functions. a. from 1928 to 1933 chairman of the SPD sub-district of Hagen.

MP

From April 20, 1947 to July 12, 1958, Trost was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected in the constituency 123 Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis Süd.

He was a member of the city council of Gevelsberg from 1928 to 1933 and after 1945. From 1945 to 1961 Trost was mayor of Gevelsberg.
