Gut Valenbrook is located in the district of Cuxhaven in the Bad Bederkesar district of Fickmühlen .

history

The former manor originally belonged to Elm Castle. After the death of the last tenant Gustav von der Lieth, Georg von Hanover inherited the estate in 1774. In 1895 the Bremen tobacco and brewery merchant Lambert Leisewitz acquired the manor. Ten years later he built the listed manor house and farm buildings on the property. Today the estate is an event and competence center as well as a modern farm.

The mansion

The mansion is a two-storey building in the classicism style. In the middle there is a five-axis risalit , on the right and left of the risalit there are belvedere .

Management of the property

French Salers cattle are kept on the farm . The production of Vaalenbrooker's preferred milk was given up in the mid-1960s. Former pigsties have been converted into five-star apartments. The former granary has become an event room for 200 guests. During the week the kitchen turns into a glass "Delicatessen-Manufaktur", in which fine chocolates, chutneys, dressings and mustard creations are made. A little off the road to Neuenwalde is an ice house . In the past, blocks of ice were sawn from Lake Flögel in winter. They were brought into the ice house - so goods could be kept fresh behind meter-thick walls in the ice cellar until summer. A large seminar room as well as accommodation for guests will be created in the manor house.
