Gijsbrecht Leytens (* 1586 in Antwerp , † 1643 or 1656 in Antwerp) is a Flemish painter who almost exclusively painted winter landscapes. At the age of twelve he became an apprentice in the Antwerp workshop of Jacques Vrolyck , then in 1611 became a member of the local Guild of St. Luke and from 1617 probably had his own workshop with his own assistants.

Leyten's subjects are small figures surrounded by large trees in the winter forest, a subject that is sometimes characterized in art by the Dutch word Winterken (Little Winter).
