The Hällvattnet is a 6.72 km² large lake in the municipality of Örnsköldsvik in Sweden . He is at 216.1 m ö.h. and has a length of 2.0 km, with a maximum width of 600 m and a maximum depth of 47 m.
geography
The lake is located south of Myckelgensjösjön , and is drained to this from Hällån . The Hällvattnet has a very elongated shape, with a length of almost ten kilometers, but a width of only half a kilometer. In one of the source rivers, the kunnan can wash gold to be found.
fauna
The copepods Limnocalanus macrurus live in Hällvattnet as a relic of the last Ice Age . Like other related species, they represent an important food source for the local fish populations in many lakes in the region around the Hällvattnet and are also an indicator of a stable pH value in the water. The larger fish species include pike and perch in the lake, which are also very popular with anglers.
