The Handel Festival in Karlsruhe is a festival event for the works of the baroque composer Georg Friedrich Handel .

From 1977 to 1984 the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe hosted the so-called Handel Days , before the Baden city became the youngest of the three Handel Festival venues in 1985. Since then, they have been held annually on February 23, around the composer's birthday. Initially two, in recent years one in-house production of a stage work was presented. There are also guest performances, orchestral and chamber music concerts.

In 1984 a separate orchestra, the "German Handel Soloists", was founded, which is included in the festival program. There is a close cooperation between the Handel Festival and the Handel Society Karlsruhe e. V. and with the International Handel Academy, founded in 1986, with master courses for baroque performance practice.

Michael Fichtenholz has been in charge of management since 2014 .
