Héctor Guido (born January 7, 1954 in Montevideo , Uruguay ) is a Uruguayan actor , dramaturge and theater director.

Life

From 1972 he attended the Escuela de Arte Dramático des El Galpón . As an actor, he has appeared on stage in more than 30 roles. He worked in the pieces Fahrenheit 451 , Inodoro Pereyra , La Celestina , Entre gallos y medianoches , Alta vigilancia , El hombre, la bestia y la virtud , ¡Ay, Carmela! and El vendedor de reliquias and was a member of the Comedia Nacional ensemble . He was nominated eleven times for the Premio Florencio Sánchez for his achievements . In 1987 he won this for Entre gallos y medianoches , in 1990 for ¡Ay, Carmela! , 1995 for El lazarillo del Tormes and 1988 for Por todos eran mis hijos . In addition, Héctor Guido was named Best Foreign Actor at the 1995 Miami International Film Festival for his work in ¡Ay, Carmela! excellent. In 2008 he received the award for "Best Film Actor". Héctor Guido founded the Teatro La Candela , to which he belonged from 1976 to 1986, and participated in the reopening of the Teatro Astral and the Teatro La Máscara . Héctor Guido is an advisor to the cultural department of the Intendencia Municipal of Montevideo . In March 2010 he was appointed General Director of the Auditorio Nacional Adela Reta des SODRE .
