Hélicoptères Guimbal is a manufacturer of two-seat, single-engine helicopters based at Aérodrome des Milles Airport ( ICAO code: LFMA) in Aix-en-Provence .

history

The company was founded in 2000 by Bruno Guimbal and other partners (including Sofipaca ). Guimbal himself worked for the helicopter manufacturer Aérospatiale (today: Airbus Helicopters ). Currently (2010) only the Cabri G2 is in production, the UAV Orka-1200 is being developed together with Airbus Defense and Space .

On December 29th, 2009 new investors (iXcore, ACE Management) were brought into the company, who invested EUR 1.8 million to expand the production possibilities .
