Today it belongs to the public hospital association Assistance publique - Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) and is part of the university clinics Hôpiteaux Universitaires Paris Ile-de-France Ouest . It is a teaching hospital of the University of Versailles . The Hôpital Ambroise-Paré is one of the largest hospitals in Europe. The manager of the house is Mrs. Directrice Lise Charmant-Delaoutre.

The hospital was named after the French surgeon Ambroise Paré .
