Hõbeda

Hõbeda (German Hoebbet or Höbbet ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Kadrina ( Kadrina vald ) in the Estonian district of Lääne-Virumaa .
The village had 73 inhabitants in 2007.
Personalities
The most famous son of the place is the German Baltic medic, explorer and explorer Karl Espenberg (1761-1822), who was born in Hõbeda. From 1803 to 1806 he accompanied Adam Johann von Krusenstern as a ship's doctor on his circumnavigation of the world.
