Hellish Neighbors is a comedy show broadcast on RTL from 1998 to 2000 .

action

In the program, two strange cases of neighbors who quarrel were shown. The dispute usually comes from both sides and the neighbors often act on the edge of legality and often end up in court.

Moderation

"Moderator" of the show was Thomas Lang . He represented a kind of imaginary narrator who interacts with the arguing neighbors in every episode and could often not even be noticed by them.

media

In 2005 a PC game was released for the show, in which you play a party in a quarrel and provoke the opposing party (your neighbors) as much as possible. This should be done in the game as inconspicuously as possible.

Feature films

The following films are based on the series: Hellish Neighbors (1998), which resulted in the two sequels Hellish Neighbors - Only Women Are Worse (2000) and Hellish Neighbors - Chaos in the Hotel (2000). Markus Majowski played the male lead in all three films . Esther Schweins also starred in the first two films . Scenes with Thomas Lang as the presenter were subsequently cut into the first film, creating a close relationship to the series. In the case of repetitions, these scenes were mostly missing, so that it can be assumed that they were actually not part of the film, but were only integrated afterwards.
