Hellish Neighbors - Only Women Are Worse is a German television comedy from 2000 that was first broadcast on RTL Television on April 1, 2000 . It is the sequel to the film Neighbors in Hell (1998).

action

After their war against the Bucks, the falconers are ruined . They have to leave their house and are quartered by Rudi's old school friend Schober in a run-down apartment building. The apartment turns out to be a nightmare and, like the entire house, is in dire need of renovation. What the falconers don't know is that their old neighbor Katharina Buck lives right next to them, who now lives separately from Ingo (who is hiding in front of the tax office abroad ) and is not allowed to see her son. It is firmly convinced that the falconers are to blame for their situation.

When Meike wants to greet the neighbors, she sees Katharina standing in the apartment, horrified. Rudi, too, is so horrified that he drops the washing machine that he and neighbor Florian have just carried up on the grumpy caretaker Volker Kowalski. Rudi and Katharina then confront Schober, who protests his ignorance. Meanwhile, Katharina wants to look for a new, 'rich' man and through a personal ad she meets the millionaire Gernot, in front of whom she claims to be rich. Meanwhile, Meike wants to open his own bistro in an empty shop near the house in order to get a fresh start for the family.

Meike later learns about Katharina's relationship with Gernot and uses a trick to blow her up. Katharina is so angry that she exposes cockroaches in the buffet when Meike's Bistro opens. Meike is now threatened with the end. In revenge, the two flood Katharina's apartment. The action also caused high property damage in the other apartments and on the house itself. When two other residents are seriously injured, Meike and Katharina finally come to their senses.

Schober now wants to tear down the house. Meike and Katharina find out that Schober intentionally placed them next to each other so that they would give him a reason to have the old house torn down. With a few tiles that you found behind the plaster in the hallway, you can call in the office for monument protection and prevent the demolition. In the end, the two women get along, and Katharina gets together again with Gernot, who doesn't mind her poverty .

criticism

"Turbulent (television) comedy that tries to satirically exaggerate everyday disputes."

Others

Although it is a direct sequel that takes place immediately after the events of the first film, there are some differences between the films. The falconers have three children in the first film, but only two in the sequel. Rudi, who works as a freelance programmer in the first film, is unemployed in this film.

In the same year another sequel appeared: Hellish Neighbors - Chaos in the Hotel .
