H'Artcore is a sampler released by H'Art Records in 1981 with various punk bands from the Ruhr area , on which some greats of the local punk scene such as Bluttat or Upright Citizens were represented. In 1999 the sampler was re-released by Teenage Rebel Records . The name of the compilation is a play on words and refers to the music represented on the album, which at that time was still referred to as hardcore punk , as the term German punk did not yet exist.

“The somewhat strange title arises from the name of the label H'Art at the time and the new term hardcore in 1981, which at that time stood for harder, faster punk like here on the sampler (the expression German punk did not exist yet). Well, that's how it was back then ... "
