Company history
The company was founded in Kerrville , Texas by Florence Butt in 1905 when she opened CC: Butt Staple and Fancy Groceries on the ground floor of her family home . In 1919, their youngest son, Howard Edward Butt, took over the business when he returned from World War I. In 1924 a second store opened in Junction , Texas. Charles Butt , the youngest son of Howard Edward Butt, became President of the company in 1971 and is also CEO .
In 2005 the company celebrated its 100th anniversary.
