Meztli

Meztli is an exoplanet that orbits the yellow giant Tonatiuh every 199.5 days . Due to its high mass , it is assumed that it is a gas planet .

discovery

The planet was determined using the radial velocity method by Bunei Sato et al. discovered in 2003 .

Circulation and mass

The planet orbits its star at a distance of approx. 0.95 astronomical units and has a mass of approx. 2639 earth masses or 8.3 Jupiter masses.

Origin of name

Meztli is named after the Aztec moon god, whereas its star is named after the Aztec sun god Tonatiuh .
