The handball group Bödeli (HG Bödeli) is a handball club from Interlaken . The association was founded on January 25, 1960 in Unterseen . In 1973 the women's department was founded.
Bödeli's heyday
In the 1979/1980 season, the HGB won the 1st league championship title and rose to the National League B for the first time in the club's history . Until the 1982/83 season, Bödeli remained in the National League B. In the 1982/83 season, only seven points resulted in the championship, which resulted in last place. In the seasons 1983/84 and 1984/85 Bödeli played in the first division. In the preliminary round 1984/1985, the HGB did not lose a game. In the second half of the season Bödeli was only beaten by TV Länggasse Bern and HBC Biel, but Bödeli was promoted to National League B again in 1984/85. 1985/86 the immediate relegation followed. 1986/87 Bödeli positioned himself at the top in the first division. With 27 points from 15 games, the Oberland rose again to the National League B. 1987/88 was the last season in the second highest league for the Bödeler. From the 1988/89 season they played in the first division.
The last few years
In 1998 Bödeli was relegated to the 2nd division. In 2000 Bödeli became 2nd league champion and then rose again to the 1st league. Then the descent followed again. In the 2013/14 season, the HGB played in the 2nd division.
