The Tallinn Stars (also known as HK Stars ) were an Estonian ice hockey club from Tallinn that was founded in 2002 and dissolved in 2009. The club played in the Eesti Jäähoki Liit and played its home games in the 3000-seat Tallinna Linnahall .
history
The Tallinn Stars finished fifth and third in the league for the first two seasons of their existence. In 2005 they won their first title with the Estonian championship . In the following year, the club was able to successfully defend its championship title. In 2007 the club won the third Estonian championship in a row. Two years later, the fourth and final championship title in the club's history was finally won.
Furthermore, the club should take part in the IIHF Continental Cup in the 2009/10 season . Shortly before the start of the tournament, the club had to file for bankruptcy and was replaced at the tournament by league rivals Tartu Välk 494 . Shortly afterwards the association was dissolved.
