HK Trešnjevka

The HK Trešnjevka is a Hockey club from the Croatian capital Zagreb . The club was founded on August 25, 1960 under the original name of Olimpija. In 1961 the club merged with RSD Trešnjevka and changed its name to HK Trešnjevka. In 1965 HK Trešnjevci joined HK Tehničar Zagreb, which was active at the Zagreb Technical School. With the disappearance of the university sports scene in Trešnjevka in 1990, the club became independent under its old name. The club, playing in green jerseys and shorts with white socks, uses the artificial turf pitch of the Zagreb Hockey Center in the Trešnjevka district around 2.5 km southwest of the old town.

The men's team plays in the Croatian hockey league, which consists of eight teams from seven clubs in the 2018/19 season. In 2018 the team became Croatian field hockey champions for the first time and qualified for the EuroHockey Club Challenge 2019 .
