HMS Archer
Several warships of the British Royal Navy were named HMS Archer , named after the English word for archer :
- HMS Archer (1801) was a 12-gun brig that was in service from 1801 to 1815.
- HMS Archer (1849) , a screw sloop , was launched in 1849 and scrapped in 1866.
- HMS Archer (1885) was launched as a torpedo cruiser in 1885 and was decommissioned in 1905.
- HMS Archer (1911) was an Acheron- class destroyer that entered service in 1911 and sold in 1921.
- HMS Archer (D78) , a Long Island- class escort carrier , was converted into a merchant ship after the end of World War II and scrapped in 1962.
- HMS Archer (P264) is a patrol boat that is mainly used for training purposes.
