Several ships of the British Royal Navy referred to as HMS London . Her name refers to the city of London .

  • The first London was a 40-cannon East Indiaman, purchased for the Royal Navy in 1636.
  • The second London was a 64-gun ship of the line that was launched in 1656 and destroyed by an explosion in 1665.
  • The third London was a ship of the line with 96 guns, which was launched as Loyal London in 1666 and was set on fire and destroyed on the Medway by the Dutch that same year .
  • The fourth London was also a 96-cannon ship of the line, launched in 1670 and scrapped in 1703.
  • The fifth London was a 100-cannon ship of the line that was launched in 1706 but never entered service and was scrapped in 1719.
  • The sixth London was a ship of the line with 100 guns, launched in 1721, never put into service and scrapped in 1749.
  • The Seventh London was a 16-gun brigantine built for use on Lake Ontario in 1756 , but fell into the hands of the French that same year.
  • The eighth London was a small 6-cannon ship that was purchased in 1756 and lost in a shipwreck in 1758.
  • The ninth London was also a small 6-cannon ship that was in service from 1759 until about 1764.
  • The tenth London was a 90-gun second class ship of the line launched in 1766 and scrapped in 1811.
  • The eleventh London was a 104-gun first class ship of the line launched in 1828. It was later renamed Royal Adelaide and sold for scrapping in 1905.
  • The twelfth London was a 92-cannon second class ship of the line that was launched in 1840, propelled in 1858 , and sold for scrapping in 1884.
  • The thirteenth London was a battleship of the Formidable-Class , which in 1899 was launched in 1918 in a minelayer rebuilt and was sold in 1920 for breaking up.
  • The fourteenth London (69) was a heavy cruiser of the County class , which in 1927 was launched and was scrapped in the 1950s.
  • The Fifteenth London (D16) was a new County class guided missile destroyer launched in 1961 and sold to Pakistan in 1982 , where it was named Babur .
  • The sixteenth London (F95) was a frigate of Broadsword-class (Type 22), which was launched in 1984 and 2002 Romania was sold, where the name Regina Maria received.
