On April 12, 1813, after a chase for several hours, the ship was captured by the British HMS Pyramus and put into service with the Royal Navy . In 1814 the ship was bought. In June 1815 she was given the name Pictou ; by this time the first HMS Pictou had already been sunk. The ship served in the Navy until 1818 and was then sold.
