HMS Torbay

Several warships of the British Royal Navy were named HMS Torbay (see Torbay ):

  • HMS Torbay (1693) was a second class 80-gun ship of the line that was launched in 1693 and demolished in 1749.
  • HMS Torbay was a 90-gun second-class ship of the line, launched in 1683 under the name HMS Neptun (1683) , renamed Torbay in 1750 and sold for scrapping in 1785.
  • HMS Torbay (1919) was an S-class destroyer that was launched in 1919, transferred to Canada in 1928, where it was renamed HMCS Champlain and sold for scrapping in 1937.
  • HMS Torbay (N79) was a T-class submarine that was launched in 1940 and sold for scrapping in 1945.
  • HMS Torbay (S90) is a Trafalgar-class nuclear submarine that was launched in 1985 and is still in active service today.
