history
The Košarkaška liga Srbije was created in 2006 after the dissolution of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro . Before that, the Serbian and Montenegrin basketball clubs formed a joint national basketball championship, which in turn emerged in 1992 from the Yugoslav basketball league YUBA. After the failure of the Montenegrin teams, the remaining Serbian teams briefly formed the Naša Liga (Our League), until a Serbian basketball league was officially established.
