The railway line Krupá – Kolešovice (also Kolešovka ) is a regional railway connection in the Czech Republic , which was originally built and operated by the kk priv. Buschtěhrad Railway (BEB) as a local railway Krupa – Kolleschowitz. It begins in Krupá on the Prague – Chomutov railway line and leads to Kolešovice in Central Bohemia .

According to a decree of the Czech government, the line has been classified as a regional railway ("regionální dráha") since December 20, 1995.

history

In the 19th century, active coal mining developed in the region northwest of Rakonitz. Several shafts were located south of Kolleschowitz and Herrndorf (Kněževes).

The concession for the Krupa – Kolleschowitz local railway was given to the founders of BCB, the building contractors Johann Muzika and Karl Schnabel on May 17, 1882 together with the Liban – Bakow and Dětenic – Dobrowitz lines . Part of the concession was the obligation to "complete the routes within a year ... and hand them over to public transport ". The license was issued until May 17, 1972. On October 25, 1882, the license was transferred to the Buschtěhrad Railway.

Construction of the railway began on May 1, 1883, and the line was opened on September 15, 1883.

On January 1, 1923, the Buschtěhrad Railway was nationalized and the Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) became the owner and operator of the line.

After the annexation of the Sudetenland to Germany in the autumn of 1938, part of the route was on German territory. Since there was no direct connection to other German routes, the entire route remained in operation of the now Protectorate Railways Bohemia and Moravia (ČMD-BMB). In the realm course book the track was included as KBS 167d pearl barley Kolle Scholars joke. After the Second World War , the entire line came back to ČSD.

On January 1, 1993, the line was transferred to the newly founded České dráhy (ČD) in the course of the dissolution of Czechoslovakia . Since 2003 it has been part of the network of the state infrastructure operator Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC).

On December 10, 2006, passenger traffic on the route was stopped, which was most recently handled exclusively with the proven two-axle railcars of the ČD series 810 .

Today the line only serves as a museum railway . In the summer months, two pairs of steam-hauled passenger trains run between Lužná u Rakovníka and Kolešovice of Klub historie kolejové dopravy Praha (KHKD) on Saturdays . A club-owned ČSD train set consisting of two-axle 3rd class cars with the locomotives 423.094 or 354.7152 is used . In Kněževes, the KHKD association also operates a small railway museum (Muzeum Vlečka Kněževes).
