The Košarkaški klub Vršac (between 1992 and 2012 KK Hemofarm ) is a Serbian basketball club from Vršac . The club was founded in 1946 and currently plays in the Adriatic Basketball League (ABA League) and in the 1st Serbian Basketball League .

history

The Vršac basketball club was founded in 1946 under the name Jedinstvo . It is one of the oldest clubs in this region. The professional men's team changed depending on a name sponsor . Its most successful time was between 1992 and 2012 with the name sponsor Hemofarm (with Stada Arzneimittel later as majority owner), with whom in 1997 they were promoted to the top division YUBA of Serbia and Montenegro for the first time . Later you reached the final in the European club competition Korać Cup 2000/01 . A title win succeeded with the victory in the ABA league in the season 2004/05. Three years later they reached the final again, which was lost against the Serbian series champion Partizan .
