The HMS Valiant was the lead ship of the Valiant class and the second British nuclear submarine .
history
The HMS Valiant was laid down on January 22, 1962. The construction took place at Vickers-Armstrong . The launch took place on December 3, 1963. The commissioning took place three years later, namely on July 18, 1966. The building of the Valiant had cost 25,300,000 British pounds. In 1967 the HMS Valiant sailed underwater from Singapore to England in 28 days . In 1970, 1977 and 1989 modifications were made and Harpoon missiles were retrofitted. In 1982, the HMS took Valiant at the Falklands War in part. After problems with the drive occurred in June 1994, it was taken out of service on August 12 of that year.
