Jamatami was a four-piece German pop band .

history

The band was selected in early 2011 by the German television broadcaster Super RTL for the docu-soap Jamatami: Das Star-Tagebuch . However, it was not a typical casting band, as the four musicians, whose first letters also form the first name of the band, already knew each other and were good friends. The band made their first appearances on the 2011 Toggo tour . Their first single Perfect Day was released on May 13, 2011, the accompanying album Tic Tac Toe on June 17. On July 4, 2011, the album entered the German charts. The CD came in 26th in Austria and lasted six weeks. In Switzerland the record reached position 72 and was in the chart for three weeks. In 2012 the band separated after a farewell concert on August 24, 2012 in Göttingen am Kauf Park.

In spring 2014 Martijn Stoffers took part in Deutschland sucht den Superstar . He is currently a member of Fireheart .
