The game community was founded in 1995 by the Marner Turnverein von 1862 and the Turn- und Sportverein Brunsbüttel . The women's team of Marner TV won the NOHV promotion games to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1994 and occupied midfield position in the 1994/95 season , so that the newly founded HSG was able to take over the starting place in the 2nd division. At the end of the 1999/2000 season , the Dithmarscher rose from bottom of the table, whereupon they voluntarily withdrew to the Oberliga Schleswig-Holstein and took the place of the 2nd team there. The B-youth was able to get the title in the league early and thus qualified for the German championship. In the group phases, the young people met the HSG Nienburg and the HC Leipzig. They finished the group stage in second place and could not qualify for the Final Four of the German championship. Then they won in the second round against Bietigheim, Groebenzell and Oldenburg, so that they made it to the quarter-finals. There they faced the Frankfurt HC, against whom they had lost in the first qualifying round.
