HSH Nordbank Run

The HSH Nordbank Run is an annual charity run in Hamburg .

Every year since 2002, thousands of participants in the HSH Nordbank Run have run through Hamburg's Hafencity for a good cause. In the last few years there have mostly been over 20,000 runners. The run leads about four kilometers through the Hafencity. The first run in 2002 followed the motto Fire and Flame for Hamburg 2012 as a commitment to the Hanseatic city's Olympic bid. Since then, the number of participants has grown from around 55 teams with 930 runners to 28,000 runners in 2008. The collected donations are used for various purposes under the motto “Children help children”.
