Higher departments
At the HTL there are a total of six different training focuses in three subjects.
electronics
The focus is on the transmission, conveyance and processing of information (data).
- Mobile Computing / Software Engineering: Since 2007, there has been a focus on mobile computing from the third grade onwards. Knowledge of object-oriented programming is imparted here. A specialization in software development for mobile devices such as B. Cell phones or tablets .
- Bionics: From the third grade, additional knowledge in chemistry and biotechnology is taught. The focus is on the area of sensors. Several prizes have been won for project work in this area and patents such as B. Biodiesel system or KO drop rapid test registered.
- Communications: In the third, fourth and fifth grade (2 hours each), the focus is on the creation and design of multimedia products, internet content and applications. In the first and second grades, designing and programming a website with HTML , CSS , JavaScript and Flash is taught.
Electrical engineering
This training focus represents a specialization in the areas of programmable logic controllers and sensor technology .
- Information technology: The training focus information technology links the knowledge areas of information processing with technical knowledge of hardware. Typical areas of application for the graduates are, for example, the construction and programming of automation systems or the planning and establishment of network connections via radio relay or fiber optic cables.
Mechatronics
- Automation technology: This focus includes training in the field of mechatronic systems in industrial plant construction and robot technology.
Information technology
- From this point onwards, “IT universalists” will be trained in “Information Technology”, with a focus on system technology, who will primarily be able to program, administer systems and look after networks.
Technical school
In addition to the five-year “higher” branches, there is a four-year technical college education in electronics.
