history

Old school building

In 1933 the pastor made the Catholic club house available for the construction of a private girls' secondary school and in the same year, after some adaptation work, the school started operating. After the connection of Austria to the National Socialist German Reich in 1938, the building was confiscated and the NSDAP taught in a local district leadership. After the war, some of the Americans moved into the building and the other part of the school was resumed with a class. From 1949 the entire building was available for school operations again. In 1954 an extension followed and in 1964, 1987 and 1991 renovation work. In 1996 the private girls' secondary school was closed and the city of Grieskirchen bought the school building, thereby expanding the secondary schools and the vocational secondary school ("Poly"). Since 2001 the newly founded HTL has also been housed there.

New school center

The move to the new school center took place during the 2010/11 semester break. The two New Middle Schools and the Polytechnic School Grieskirchen are also located there. In the following year it became a federal college.
