The Alfa Romeo Scighera is a 1997 prototype from Italdesign , from which both the construction and the futuristic design come. It was derived from 164 .

The body is made entirely of aluminum , the frame a mixture of aluminum and CFRP . The Scighera is powered by an Alfa Romeo TwinTurbo 3 liter V6 engine and accelerates from 0 to 100  km / h in 3.7 seconds . The engine develops 400 hp (294 kW) at 7500 rpm and the top speed is 302 km / h. The Scighera has permanent all-wheel drive , which comes from the Alfa Romeo 155 . Italdesign also considered small series production, but it never started.
