The Alfa Romeo GT (internal name Type 937) is a sports coupé from the Italian car brand Alfa Romeo . It was built from the end of 2003 to spring 2010 and sold worldwide.

Model history

A first clay model with the appearance of the Alfa Romeo GT was shown at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show . The series version followed at the IAA of the same year. A small facelift was presented at the Mondial de l'Automobile 2006 in Paris . presents.

In March 2010 the production of the Alfa Romeo GT was stopped after a total of 80,832 units without a planned successor.

The body shape was created in collaboration with the Italian automobile designer Bertone . As is typical with Alfa Romeo, the radiator grille, the Scudetto , dominates the front view. Contrary to the trend at Alfa Romeo, the model has not received a major facelift since its introduction and has expired without changes.

The interior is largely similar to that of the Alfa Romeo 147 .

drive

(Internal: Type 937) for the GT used Alfa Romeo the platform of the Alfa Romeo 156 / 147 with a transverse engine and front wheel drive. It was available with four different engines: three petrol engines and one diesel engine. The diesel 1.9 JTD developed 110 kW (150 hp) and was the most economical of the engines with 6.7 liters of fuel consumption per 100 km.

The 1.8 Twin Spark has a maximum output of 103 kW (140 PS) and consumes 8.5 liters of fuel per 100 km. The 2.0 JTS with a maximum of 121 kW (165 PS) was the only engine with an automated manual transmission , the " Selespeed ". The gears were changed using the steering wheel shift paddles or the selector lever. There was also a city ​​mode in this variant , in which the transmission acted like a fully automatic transmission. The two-liter gasoline engine consumed 8.7 liters per 100 km.

In addition, a V6 gasoline engine with 3.2 liters displacement and a maximum output of 176 kW (240 hp) and an average consumption of 12.4 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers was offered until mid-2007.

Furnishing

All equipment variants include power steering, anti-lock braking system (ABS), traction control (ASR), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), front, side and head airbags , height-adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support, central locking with remote control, electrically adjustable and heated mirrors, fog lights , cruise control , 3 rear headrests, front and rear armrests, leather steering wheel and emergency spare wheel.
