Love you Suzuki-kun !! ( Japanese. 好 き で す 鈴木 く ん ！！ , Suki Desu Suzuki-kun !! ) is a manga series by the Japanese illustrator Gō Ikeyamada . The series with over 2000 pages was adapted as an original video animation , light novel and console game.
content
The two boys Hikaru Suzuki and Shinobu Suzuki, who are not related despite having the same name, and the girls Sayaka Hoshino and Chihiro Itō go to the first grade of middle school together. Chihiro and the sporty Hikaru have been friends for a long time and Chihiro is secretly in love with him. But Hikaru and the shy Sayaka fall in love, while the rich and arrogant Shinobu falls in love with Chihiro.
After two years the four are separated and they don't see each other until the second year of high school at the age of 17.
publication
The manga was published from October 2008 to June 2012 in the manga magazine Shōjo Comic published by Shogakukan in Japan. The individual chapters also appeared in 18 anthologies. The volumes of the series initially sold around 80,000 each in Japan, the later volumes over 110,000.
Egmont Manga and Anime published a German translation in 18 volumes from April 2011 to March 2014.
Adaptations
On December 18, 2009 , a DVD with an original video animation based on the manga was released as a supplement to the Shōjo comic . A second episode followed on July 26, 2010 in a fan book.
A light novel written by Yui Tokiumi was released in December 2009 under the title Suki Desu Suzuki-kun !! - Pure White Love ( 好 き で す 鈴木 く ん !! - ピ ュ ア ・ ホ ワ イ ト ・ ラ ブ ). In addition, a game for the series was released on July 29, 2010 under the title Suki Desu Suzuki-kun !! - 4-nin no Suzuki-kun ( 好 き で す 鈴木 く ん ！！ ～ ４ 人 の 鈴木 く ん ～ ) for Nintendo DS . It was produced by Idea Factory .
