Hawk (heraldic animal)

The hawk is a common figure in heraldry and a little common heraldic animal .

Its representation is similar to the heraldic animal eagle in a strict heraldic form and on the other hand in a natural pose. It can appear in the shield or as a jewel in the coat of arms .

The hawk is also suitable as a template for a talking coat of arms . Here the names like Habicht, Habich or Habicher are referred to.
