Hadouken! are a British indietronic / new rave band founded in 2006 in Leeds by James Smith and Daniel Rice. The band's name comes from a special attack in the Versus Fighter video game series Street Fighter . They combine electronic sound with sound elements from Nintendo Game Boys . Smith and Rice founded their own label Surface Noise Records and released some songs from their project for the first time in February 2007.

Career

In 2008 two of her songs hit the UK single charts. Her album Music for an Accelerated Culture reached number 12 on the hit parade.

On January 25, 2010 her new album For the Masses was released. A total of 3 singles were released from this album in 2010. The song Bombshock is also included in the racing game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit , which was released in 2010.

On October 18, 2010, the first single, Mecha Love , their third album was released. The alternative video to Mecha Love was viewed almost 40 million times on the YouTube video platform by February 2012 . Also on October 18th, the second single Oxygen was accidentally distributed on the Internet. Officially, this single should not be released until February 14, 2011. The music video for Oxygen was released on January 12, 2011, and the song has been on sale since January 18, ahead of schedule.

The studio recordings for the third studio album began on January 3rd, 2011. Due to problems with the music label Ministry Of Sound , where the new album was supposed to be released, the release was postponed by almost two years. On March 18, 2013, the album was released under the name Every Weekend on Hadouken's own label Surface Noise Records .
