Hagedorn (company)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hagedorn was an agricultural machinery and tractor manufacturer from Warendorf ( Westphalia ).

history

From 1902, Hagedorn manufactured agricultural machinery under the Hagedorn and Westfalia brands . A small tractor was developed from motorized bar mowers in 1932. In 1936, the first agricultural tractor was presented, which was produced in small numbers. The post-war production of tractors started in 1949, but was stopped again in 1952.

The company concentrated on the development and production of agricultural machinery and became a well-known manufacturer of agricultural machinery throughout Germany and Europe , particularly in the areas of loading wagons , i.e. forage harvesting technology and potato harvesters. Hagedorn recently concentrated on small and medium-sized self-loading wagons from the Bison and Mammut series . In addition to the potato harvesting machines, Hagedorn also brought vegetable harvesting and processing machines onto the market. An asparagus ramming plow, an asparagus cutting and washing machine as well as various carrot and onion harvesters were manufactured for growing asparagus and vegetables in particular. In 1992, production at the Warendorf site was discontinued.

Today (2008) the former Hagedorn works agency, the company Odenwald Technik from Buchen (Odenwald) , takes care of the spare parts supply for the agricultural machinery. Hagedorn agricultural machinery is in use all over the world.
