Hajime Kanzaka

Hajime Kanzaka ( Japanese 神 坂 一 , Kanzaka Hajime ; born July 17, 1964 in Asago ) is a Japanese light novel writer.

In 1989 he won a young talent award from the Fujimi Shobō publishing house. Kanzaka has been working for this publisher and its parent company Kadokawa Shoten ever since. The author published his first publication in 1989 in Gekkan Dragon Magazine . He began with Slayers , his most successful work, that same year. He expanded Slayers into a series of novels that appeared in 50 volumes by 2011, including spin-offs. The series had sold more than 20 million book copies by the end of 2011. The numerous manga and anime , however, achieved international fame .
