Hakau'ata is an island in the Ha'apai archipelago in the Pacific . Politically, it belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga .

geography

The motu is located on the Ava Vahaʻafonua canal in the center of the archipelago, in line with the islands of Lofanga and Lofanga, as well as the rocks of Lua Maiti and Thorn Rock .

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Ha'apai group, Tafahi is occasionally hit by cyclones .
