Lofanga (also: Lofaga ) is an island in the south of the Ha'apai archipelago in the Pacific . Politically, it belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga .

geography

The Motu lies between the islands of Hakau'ata , Nukupule , and Niniva . The reefs Hakau Eihiho , Lua Puki , Lua Fahalolo , Lua Maiti and Lua Fakatele are in the immediate vicinity .

Access is through the Ava Matanukupule canal . About 120 people live on Lofange.

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Ha'apai group, Lofanga is occasionally hit by cyclones .
