Haliartos (mythology)
Haliartus ( ancient Greek Ἁλίαρτος ), the son of Thersandros , was the brother of Koronos and the grandson of Sisyphus in Greek mythology . Athamas , the brother of Sisyphus and king of Orchomenus , adopted the two brothers who were to inherit him. However, when Phrixus , the son of Athamas, or his son Presbon came to Orchomenus, they vacated the throne and left it to the rightful heir. On the land that Haliartus received, he founded the city of Haliartus .
