Halil İbrahim Akçay (born October 14, 1960 in Trabzon ) is a former Turkish football player .
Career
Halil İbrahim Akçay started his career at Trabzonspor in 1980 . In his first season at Trabzonspor Akçay came to eight league games and was also Turkish champion. In the following season there were 14 league games and the defender moved to Galatasaray Istanbul for the 1982/83 season .
In his first season for the yellow-reds , the defender played in seven league games. In May 1985 he won the Turkish Cup with Galatasaray. In 1986 Akçay moved to Diyarbakırspor and ended his career a few months later.
