Benefits of Halite

Halite is designed as a "light" BitTorrent client, but still has some unique selling points compared to other, comparable clients:

  • Support of eMules IPFilter.dat files for filtering unwanted IP addresses
  • full UTF-8 support
  • Ability to change the trackers stored in the .torrent files

Disadvantages of Halite

Due to the concept of a "light" client, at least in the current state of development, the ease of use also suffers a little:
For example, Halite currently has no menu operation, but can only be adjusted via configuration dialogs.

outlook

For future versions, among other things, the implementation of the libHTTP library to implement a web interface, similar to μTorrents WebUI , is planned.
