Hallaton Castle
Hallaton Castle is an abandoned medieval castle west of the village of Hallaton , about 20 km southeast of Leicester in the English county of Leicestershire . It is considered a Scheduled Monument.
It was an interesting moth with an additional, rectangular enclosure. The mound was 36 meters high and 190 meters in circumference. There was a donjon on it . The castle had an area of 0.81 hectares including the external works .
Today only earthworks remain.
