The HALLESCHE mutual health insurance is a German mutual insurance company based in Stuttgart and since 1994 organized group with the Alte Leipziger Lebensversicherung . The approval as a private health insurer was granted by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority on January 1st, 1988.

history

It was founded on October 20, 1934 as Hallesche Krankenkasse VVaG in Berlin by the commercial health insurance company - KKH for the necessary spin-off of 20,570 non-insurable members on January 1, 1936 from the substitute fund . At that time the members were looked after by 195 employees. In order to be present in the most important locations, 14 new district administrations and 52 branches were set up over the next two years. In 1948 the administration was relocated from Berlin to Stuttgart due to political tensions and the fact that one of the few buildings that had not been destroyed was in Stuttgart.

In 1961 the company was changed to the form Hallesche Mutual Health Insurance, which is again predominant today . On February 28, 1963, Stuttgart became the headquarters of the Halleschen. The double seat of the Hallesche-Nationale in Berlin was given up on April 7, 1994.

On August 21, 1975, the National Health Insurance Association was taken over. G. under the chairman of the supervisory board, Ludwig Grosse, and the name was changed to Hallesche-Nationale Krankenversicherungsverein (Mutual Health Insurance Association) with now 470 employees.

An organizational agreement with the Vereinte Postversicherung VVaG (VPV) was concluded on January 1, 1984. There are also agreements and collaborations with other companies, such as B. MLP as a sales partner.

The company was renamed HALLESCHE Mutual Health Insurance on August 2, 2002 . Today's Stuttgart Insurance Association was entered in the commercial register on February 18, 1952. As a sales partner, HALLESCHE Krankenversicherung worked closely with MEG AG, which, however, had to file for bankruptcy in December 2009.

Cooperation with Alte Leipziger Lebensversicherung: In 1973, the cooperation with ALTE LEIPZIGER began, which from 1990 onwards mutually involved and in 1994 resulted in a harmonized group . HALLESCHE has a 10 percent stake in ALTE LEIPZIGER Holding Aktiengesellschaft, and Alte Leipziger Lebensversicherung holds around 90 percent.
