Hallunda is an above-ground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Eriksberg district of the Botkyrka municipality . The station is served by the Röda linjen of the Stockholm metro system . It is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. On a normal working day, 4,000 commuters get on and off here.

The station went into operation on January 12, 1975 when the section of Röda linjen between Fittja and Norsborg was inaugurated. The platforms are above ground in the cut. The station is located between Alby and Norsborg stations . It is around 17.5 km to Stockholm Central Station .
