The Halmstad Eagles are a Swedish American football team from Halmstad .

history

The team was founded in 1986. The Eagles celebrated their greatest success in 1992 when they were champions of Division I Södra and were promoted to the super series . There they played two seasons, but had to go back to the second division in 1994 when they were second to bottom. In 1995, 1996 and 2000 the Eagles qualified for the promotion games to the super series, but these were each lost. Today the Halmstad Eagles play in Division II Södra, the third Swedish division.
