Teams 2009

The Superserien is the highest Swedish American football league under the umbrella of the Swedish football association SAFF . The league has existed since 1991. After a round of two legs, the four best teams play a semi-finals. The winners reach the final of the Swedish championship. The two bottom of the table must be relegated to the two top teams in Division I.

The reigning champions are the Stockholm Mean Machines .

2009 season

The athletically relegated STU Northside Bulls kept the class thanks to the voluntary retreat of the Gothenburg Marvels . The Limhamn Griffins also withdrew voluntarily , so that the super series will only start the new season with 6 teams.

• In the relegation, the winner of Division I, Djurgårdens IF prevailed against the STU Northside Bulls and rose to the 2009 super series. The STU Northside Bulls are relegated to Division I. The Göteborg Marvels, however, can prevail against the Örebro Black Knights and hold the league, Örebro remains in Division I.
