Lidingö Pink Chargers

The Lidingö Pink Chargers (the original name Lidingö Pink Panthers had to be changed for legal reasons) were one of the first American football teams in Sweden . The Chargers won both the first "unofficial" Swedish championship in 1985 6-0 against Danderyd Mean Machine and the first official one in 1986 against the Glue Harbor Buccaneers 15-6. In 1988 they were again in the championship finals, but lost against the Kristianstad C4 Lions with 8:25. The U-19 juniors were able to win the Swedish championship title in 1991, in the final they defeated the IFS Göteborg Giants 12-0.

At the Gatorade Challenge II in 1991, the Chargers competed in Hamburg against the Hamburg Silver Eagles and lost 8:31 in front of 1,800 spectators in the Victoria Stadium .

The Chargers took part in league games for the last time in 1992.
