The Hamburg Silver Eagles were an American football club from Hamburg that existed between 1988 and 1995.

history

The Silver Eagles emerged from the 2nd team of the Hamburg Dolphins and played in the 1st Bundesliga in 1991, 1993 and 1994, and even reached the play-offs in the 1993 season . The game was stopped due to financial constraints during the 1994 season. In 1995 the association disbanded. Most of the players and officials switched to local rivals Hamburg Blue Devils . Five years later, the Hamburg Eagles were founded from the former Hamburg Wild Huskies.
